Canola meal is what remains after most of the oil is extracted from canola seeds. The resultant meal is molded into pellets for easier handling and flowability, and sold as an animal feed ingredient for added fat, fiber and protein nutrients
Barley grain has three major uses: livestock feed, raw material for alcohol and starch production, and food. LDC deals exclusively in rolled feed barley, sourced from Russia, Ukraine and Argentina for delivery to Australia, China, Thailand and the Middle East. In this last location, it is used as a popular feed for camels.
After the juice and oils have been extracted from citrus fruits, the remaining pulp is transformed into citrus pulp pellets, which are then sold as an energy-giving, fiber-rich animal feed ingredient.
Cottonseed meal is a by-product of cotton ginning, obtained by crushing the seeds and extracting their oil. The high protein and energy value of the remaining meal makes it an excellent ingredient for animal feed, mostly used by cattle producers.
Rapeseed meal is made by processing the resulting rapeseed cake after oil is extracted from the seeds as a feedstock for biodiesel production. Each ton of rapeseed biodiesel that we produce generates approximately 1.25 tons of rapeseed meal, a key component in high-protein animal feed.
